Are there any radicals out there?

Missions has always been fueled and moved forward by radicals, and the chance that this reality will somehow change in our day is unlikely. When Jesus ushered in the Kingdom of God and established the church over 2000 years ago, Satan’s reign over this world was dealt a massive blow. And the hemorrhaging has never stopped.
Yet missions remains a task fit only for radicals because in his slow death, Satan does all He can to stop the gospel from spreading and the Kingdom from growing. With each advance his own demise gets closer. Missions goes to the heart of what Satan is trying to prevent and all who engage in it will feel his wrath. What this means on a practical level is that engaging in missions will expose every crack we have in terms of character, consecration and competence. Only a radical commitment can stay the course. As the old saying goes, “There’s many a slip between the call and the ship”.
Yet our frailty is backed up by God’s power and provision. Radicals are frail people with their share of cracks. But they also possess an unusual trust in God. Approximately 2.5 billion people are still waiting for a radical to show up, a person willing to take risks and endure hardship for the sake of Christ and His Kingdom. Of those billions, a few thousand may one day see you arrive as God’s radical appointed just for them.

Will you go?
