Founding
Insight was founded in 2001 by Becky Lewis, creator of the Sonlight homeschooling curriculum, and Dr. Ralph Winter, founder of the U.S. Center for World Mission and World Christian Foundations graduate study programs. It was founded with the desire to challenge today’s generation to gain the knowledge and depth of insight they need to impact the world for Christ. Without an accurate, broad, and global understanding of history, philosophy, scripture, cultures, and God’s work from creation to the present day, students are often tossed about and confused by the secular spin put on everything from science to global politics. The Insight program examines historical and current challenges to God’s plan for humanity, through extensive readings, challenging lectures and honest discussions. This curriculum is designed to equip students to be knowledgeable and effective ambassadors for Christ from the halls of the top universities to the most remote unreached people groups on Earth.
