Rebranding Update

John Lambert September 04, 2014

As project manager for rebranding, I had the honor of sharing our new name with our community as well as rolling out some of the elements of our new branding to the 120 staff that were in attendance at our retreat in July.

Since over 1/3 of our staff are not based in Pasadena, the retreat is an important time for us to reconnect with our overall vision and look forward to the days to come.

My presentation was well received and I received lots of great encouragement and even some helpful feedback that I used to tweak some of the language in our brand style guide.

While serving our main leaders in the area of strategic initiatives, I was asked to take the lead on this project sometime around June of 2013.

Since then, our goal has been to preserve the best of our core and our legacy while stimulating new growth and change.  Ultimately, we want to build capacity for all of our existing projects as well as build for emerging projects and initiatives.

As I survey the missions landscape in North America, I see many other organizations retooling and reorganizing for a new generation.

We are certainly not alone in this season!  So, it has been exciting for me to be here for this particular time in our history.

I have been working with our partners at PlainJoe Studios to frame up our forthcoming new web site and write the new copy that is needed to fill it.  I recently wrote twenty pages of materials and continue to provide input as our designers send us back their initial comps.  We hope to launch externally to the public (you!) by the first week in 2015.

So stay tuned and eventually you will be able to see all of our work when it goes live!
